Building Physics
DGMR. More than just building physics
Healthy and pleasant living. Safe and pleasurable living. Every possible attention is paid to this in building physics. By giving form and direction to the factors which influence the living and working environment, such as light, air, noise, temperature and draughts. Issues such as energy, vibration and sustainability also have their place in the portfolio of the building physics specialist. In short, it is a highly comprehensive discipline, and one for which we have made a vital place.
From one discipline to another
Our building physicists are on hand for the client through every stage of the project. From the initiative and the pre-design right through to realisation and occupation. The problem-transgressing approach which is such a notable characteristic of our organisation results in sound and solid advice. After all, building physics has points of convergence with many other disciplines. The exchange of knowledge within the development team, but also between various fields of expertise, is indispensable in reaching a high-quality solution.
The know-how and the means
At DGMR we have more than simply a wealth of building physics knowledge and experience – we also have the necessary technical resources to hand, such as building physics measuring equipment and advanced, self-developed software for the execution of calculations. We are also happy to take care of laboratory research and wind tunnel tests. In this way, we come up with the best conceivable living environment, the most perfect acoustics and an optimal and energy-efficient construction. All conceivable options are considered in this process, so that not a single possibility is overlooked. This is building physics as practised by DGMR.
