Development of calculation methods
In order to determine the extent of road and rail noise pollution, and that of light-rail and monorail systems in advance, we use calculation methods. These methods are empirical and vary from country to country. Thanks in part to a number of partnerships in the Netherlands and abroad, DGMR has at its fingertips knowledge and experience in this area. DGMR is one of the most important players in the European Harmonoise and Imagine projects, the aim of which is to achieve harmonization of calculation methods.
