Outdoor safety
The transport of hazardous substances entails risks. This relates not only to the risks associated with traffic and rail accidents, but also to incidents in which hazardous substances are involved. Not only for the road users who are directly involved in the accident, but also for local residents. For an objective assessment of these safety risks, we use a statistical approach, combining the risk of serious accidents and their effects. DGMR assesses the safety risks on the basis of a statistical approach, linking the risk of serious accidents to the effects thereof.
